Here is the Cheat River in autumn. The one golden tree was just glowing. I did this painting from a picture I took from a bridge. While I was photographing, a man stopped his truck on the bridge, jumped out with a camera, and started taking pictures too. He said he had lived there all his life and have never noticed how pretty it was till he saw me taking pictures of it. Isn't that how it is so often? We take for granted what is in our own backyards.
